Ayurvedic Massage Course for Parents and Children (5-12 years)
Join us on a journey of discovery and connection, where touch becomes a means to create unforgettable moments of intimacy and care between parents and children. This course offers a unique opportunity to explore ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and bring it into daily life, creating moments of deep connection and harmony.
During each session, you will discover how mindful touch can help not only relax the body but also foster an emotional dialogue that goes beyond words. Direct contact with your child is a universal language that allows you to convey love, trust, and attention in a tangible and authentic way, strengthening the bond that unites you.
By participating in this journey, you will learn to transform massage into a wellness ritual that will become an integral part of your family life, helping your child grow up serene and happy.
Ayurvedic massage is not only an ancient therapeutic practice but also a powerful tool for emotional and physical connection between parents and children.
Through massage, the parent can convey love and security, while the child experiences a sense of protection and comfort. The contact helps the child to relax deeply, feel good about themselves, and strengthen the bond with the parent over time. This course is specifically designed for moms (and dads!) who want to share moments of intimacy and care with their children, aged 5 to 12 years.
During the sessions, gentle techniques, interactive games, and activities that stimulate the child's creativity are integrated, making each massage a special moment that the child will look forward to.
In addition to providing physical benefits, massage becomes an opportunity for the parent to dedicate exclusive time to their child, creating precious memories and nurturing a deep and meaningful bond.
Course Objectives
The Mother-Child Ayurvedic Massage course has the following objectives:
- Provide parents with practical tools to improve the physical and emotional well-being of their children, allowing them to feel calmer and more serene, promoting healthy and happy development. This objective includes specific techniques to reduce muscle tension, improve breathing, and increase the child's body awareness.
- Promote non-verbal communication through touch, to strengthen mutual trust and create an environment where the child feels protected and heard. Touch becomes a means to tune into the child's needs, allowing the parent to better understand their emotions and respond with sensitivity.
- Teach simple Ayurvedic massage techniques that can be easily practiced at home, at any time of the day. The techniques learned in the course can be adapted to different situations, such as moments of stress before going to school or when the child has difficulty falling asleep. This versatility makes massage an effective tool for daily well-being.
- Create an atmosphere of play and fun, for example by using relaxing music or telling stories during the massage, making it a pleasant and anticipated connection ritual. Through playful activities, such as imagining a magical journey or singing together during the massage, the child's active participation is encouraged, transforming the massage into a game and complicity experience between parent and child. This approach helps children develop a positive view of physical contact, associating it with moments of joy and security.
Course Program
- Introduction to Ayurvedic Massage: The importance of touch in the parent-child relationship. How to create a serene and comfortable environment for the massage. Basic knowledge of Ayurvedic philosophy and the importance of balancing the doshas will also be provided.
- Basic Techniques: Circular movements, light pressure, and stroking techniques to relax the child's muscles and mind. We will also learn about the use of the most suitable Ayurvedic oils for children and how to choose the most appropriate type of oil based on the child's constitution.
- Specific Massage for Vata, Pitta, and Kapha: Adapting the massage according to the child's constitution (dosha) for optimal well-being. Specific movements for each dosha will be taught, with a particular focus on the individual needs of each child, helping parents recognize and rebalance any imbalances.
- Playful Massage: Playful exercises to integrate into the massage to make it more engaging and fun, such as the “Butterfly Dance” and “Serenity Train.” Interactive activities will be presented to stimulate the child's creativity and imagination, creating an experience that involves both mind and body.
- Connection Rituals: How to transform the massage into a daily or weekly ritual to strengthen family intimacy. We will discuss how to introduce small evening rituals, such as reading a story followed by a relaxing massage, to promote the child's sleep and create habits that nurture the emotional bond.

Benefits for Parent-Child Relationship and Communication through Touch
Massage is a universal language, a powerful means of communicating without words.
Through Ayurvedic massage, the child perceives attention, care, and love.
This type of mindful touch helps create an atmosphere of trust and openness, fostering communication even outside the context of the massage.
Often children do not know how to express their feelings in words, but physical contact can help them feel understood and protected.
For parents, massaging their children is a way to connect with their inner world, perceiving tensions, joys, and needs, and offering a reassuring presence.
Massage is not only a way to promote physical well-being, but it is also an opportunity to convey values such as listening, patience, and empathy.
Through massage, the child learns that their body is precious and worthy of attention, developing a positive body image and greater self-confidence.
The parent, in turn, has the opportunity to discover aspects of the child's character and emotions that may remain hidden in daily life, thus creating a deeper and more authentic connection.
